Judith Sephuma was born on June 29, in Seshego, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

Musical Career

During her time in Cape Town, Sephuma performed extensively with various bands and solo artists.

In , she won the &#;Best Jazz Vocalist&#; award at the Old Mutual Jazz Into The Future competition, which led to her signing with the African division of BMG Records.

Sephuma&#;s breakthrough came in at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Cape Town, where she formed her own backing band and performed under her own name. This paved the way for the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, &#;A Cry, A Smile, A Dance&#;, in She followed this up with &#;New Beginnings&#; in and went on to release several more albums, including &#;Change is Here&#; (), &#;I Am A Living Testimony&#; (), &#;A Legacy Live in Concert&#; (), and her first gospel album, &#;The Experience LIVE in Concert&#; ().

Strictly Come Dancing

In , Judith Sephuma was one of the celebrity contestants on the fifth season of the SABC2 reality dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing.
